Michael resides in California. in the Monterey Peninsula area.
His work is focused upon producing Fine Art prints that present the viewer with images which are compelling in composition and the expression of light. The Monterey Peninsula, in addition to the Big Sur area, are world renown for their beauty, majesty and emotional impact.
Michael works to distill the essence of his images to emotionally represent what he regards as the underlying archetypal nature of his perception. In doing so, he strives to provide the viewer with a whisper of a far greater emotion, or connection.
Michael is a member of the Center for Photographic Arts, Carmel California and a member of ImageMakers, a group of fine art photographers, formed in 1996, with the goal of insuring that photography continues to thrive as an art form in the Monterey Peninsula area. The group has grown to about 50 members, who meet monthly to share their work, and ideas.
